Fuelling Young Minds

Campaign overview

Think Through Nutrition is collaborating with a Midlands and Northwest care provider to introduce our tailored education programme for children and young people in their care to improve nutritional intake.

Today, nearly 93,000 children and young people in care across England, Wales and Northern Ireland face increased risk of poverty, mental health issues and homelessness. They need support to prepare for adulthood and independent living.

Our goal is to influence mental health and physical health outcomes, reducing behavioural issues whilst improving concentration and learning; making a vital difference to their lives both now and in the future.

With your support, we will:

  • Foster ownership and self-learning at each individual’s pace, empowering beneficiaries to learn, track and measure their own progress

  • Offer supplements for brain health and overall wellbeing

  • Build independence and life skills through practical nutrition education

  • Develop knowledge and confidence in making healthy food choices, meal planning and supplement use

Impact and reach

Supporting over 80 young people across 25 homes in the first year, we aim to create a robust model for the wider social care sector, fuelling young minds and empowering the next generation of children and young people in care to reach for a brighter future.
