Luke Serjeant
Luke joined the prison service in 1983, starting his career as a prison officer at Wormwood Scrubs before having a range of management roles in prison including governing three prisons, Bullingdon, Wormwood Scrubs and Woodhill. In 2009 he was appointed to be the Regional Manager for Prisons in the West Midlands.He held this role until 2016 when he became the Director of Women’s Prisons. Luke took early retirement in October 2018 and has taken a Trustee role with the IFBB in the hope that he can help the Institute with its work in Women’s Prisons.
Luke lives in Staffordshire with his wife Anne. They are keen walkers and spend a lot of time walking in the Peak District.
